Are you a high school guidance counselor? Are you a high school senior who believes in developing both your mind and body as a way to live a complete life? Are you looking for a scholarship that recognizes your achievements inside and outside of the classroom?

The ancient Greeks believed that a body's good health was vital as it is the vessel of the mind. The mind houses your humanity, and, therefore, exercise of the mind is just as important as exercise of the body for full maturing and development. The purpose of a human's time on earth is to live the best, balanced l ife and to explore the unexamined facets that make us better men. Thus, the Balanced Man Ideal--living a life encompassing Sound Mind and Sound Body--was created to frame programming ideals.

The Balanced Man Scholarship honors incoming freshmen men who exhibit academic excellence, demonstrate leadership skills, and commit to health and well-being during their high school careers. We believe in the importance of a well-rounded educat ion and want to reward those students who share these beliefs; therefore, neither membership nor affiliation with SigEp will be considered or required during the scholarship process. For fall 2012, Sigma Phi Epsilon will offer four scholarships. Once again, this scholarship does not obligate you to participate in the recruitment process, but if you are interested in joining SigEp, please click here.
